Ban Mae Lana is located in Amphoe Pang Ma Pha, Mae Hong Son. It is a 200 years old community where most of its habitants are Tai Yai people. Ban Mae Lana is another interesting community-based tourism in Mae Hong Son where tourist can wander around the village to observe Tai Yai people’s lifestyle.
Ban Mae Lana is a small community located at the same route heading to Ban Ja Bo, which is famous community-based tourism with high popularity as of lately. Ban Mae Lana is 15 minutes past Ban Ja Bo. You can combine these two communities in one trip due to its short distance between one another. Ban Mae Lana is surrounded by limestone mountains which have many caves. Agricultural and livestock are their main income. Most of them are Buddhist and have Wat Mae Lana at their spiritual anchor.
