Elephants World

This place is free from elephant-riding activities and there are no circus tricks like kicking footballs, hula-hoop whirling or painting. Instead, travelers will be able to experience even greater happiness through caring for sick, old, disabled, severely overworked and abused elephants as part of a team with which includes the resident veterinary staff and elephant keepers (mahouts). Such close proximity is a wonderful opportunity to learn and understand the precious bond between humans and elephants and to make friends with elephants via various activities such as feeding them with watermelons, corn, papaya, yam-beans and bananas, joining them for a fun mud bath, bathing them in the river or learning the language used by the mahouts to communicate with the elephants.

Travelers can simply visit or join the elephant care volunteer team for anything from a half-day to a few months. The longer the time spent here, the more open-minded and compassionate volunteers become as they begin to show empathy and understand the connection between all living things. Upon hearing the cries of elephants that have been taken advantage of and treated cruelly by humans, visitors and volunteers may be inspired to create environmentally-friendly tourism activities either for themselves or for society, become more respectful for biodiversity or help conserve the existing purity and beauty that surrounds us all. All of these new paths are about leaving an impression and making a difference.
