Visitors can enjoy food from organic vegetable farms grown and sold by local villagers at Samui Green Market Group and beachfront hotel entrepreneurs build and operate their businesses on models of low carbon operation to raise awareness among business operators which in turn reduces negative environmental consequences.

If local villagers, entrepreneurs and travellerslearn and develop together, they can contribute to enhance tourism activities in parallel with income generation across tourism enterprises, as well as being active in the areas of natural and environmental conservation. Not only will it sustainably conserve local natural resources, but it will also protect the magnificence of this idyllic island in the Gulf of Thailand and prevent its natural resources from being depleted or destroyed in the near future,     The project also serves as a prototype for other areas in the country that have begun to realize how the development of the tourist industry may affect the environment and representatives of these areas are able to visit, learn and apply the principles to their hometowns, which will ultimately maintain Thailand’s image as a captivating tourist destination to people around the world, whilst retaining its unsurpassed natural beauty.
